Anthology of Interest

Tamara made use of her fabulous connections in the internet underworld to score a copy of Trash, one of the unaired Firefly episodes. It was a pretty good episode, but I probably would have been more... entertained if I hadn't read the script already.

We've setup a bittorrent server for it. Get it.

We went and ordered wedding rings today. Mine is Ti with a thin gold band around it, and Tamara's is gold with little diamonds and sapphires in a channel. They have to order both in, but at least that's one more thing off the list.

Compiling mozilla 1.3.1 is a pain. Mozilla seems to like gcc 2.96, even though everyone else thinks it's crap. But apparently you want to get

We went to the Matrix on opening night, because we are nerds. It was pretty good. Anyway.

Stupid tests:

Is the first line of the file the title? I don't know. I guess we shall see.

I've started a new job in Victoria. I'm a Jr. Research assistant or something now. I'm working on electromagnetics; antenna's and stuff. It's pretty neat. I'm learning partial differential equations so that I know what I'm doing when I get around to doing it. I've managed to write a simple 2-d electrostatic finite element simulator. That was pretty cool. I want to try to make it do some other types of problems, and then make it do time domain electromagnetic wave propagation. Ultra cool!

I think I might shoot of wave propagation on a 2d plane first, like a water wave. We'll start and the small end of the cool scale.
