So, apparently, winter in Victoria is upon us. And this means lots of rain. Fun.
One for the nuances for the Python language escaped me until now, so my photo album script was saving photos and thumbnails alike at 75% quality. I've finally got it to save at 100%. Yay. So I'm regenerating the photos from our wedding, for those who care. Tamara says that some day she's going to do a favorites page.
My bike is in a sad state of disrepair. The bit that holds the cable in the level for the rear brake is all rounded off and pulls through the lever, so it's usless. I think a big sinker might help, or I could pony up for a new cable. Hopefully I can find something for a bike that old. Also need new brake pads all around; the old ones are worn right down. The rims are also damaged; when I use the front brake, I see aluminum flakes being scraped off. Tires are in rough shape, and tubes too probably.
So I can't decide if I should put money into it, or look at finding a slightly newer used bike... hmmm. In the meantime, I'm riding the bus. The poor shape of my bike gives me a good excuse not to ride in the rain in anycase. But I'm not getting any exercise!
