Do I have to let emoticons be converted to images? Do you know anyway to turn that off? It just doesn't look right on a coloured background (unless, of course, they would use transparency!)
YAY, I'm glad of the change for two reasons.
1) Hopefully less blog downtime due to inexplicable crashes 2) The ability to leave comments Looks great (default "skin"?) I'll try to not overload on comments, but...
I thought you hated PHP? I wonder if I have my old MT 2.6 tarball - it will run on Postgres... And I suppose WordPress (which seems to have received many accolades) is out because it doesn't support Postgres (yet). MT seems to have lost its steam over the new licensing issues... I'll stick with 2.6 for now but I found my first comment spam yesterday. Poo Now we just have to convince Ryan to use something so his old content doesn't vaporize and so that Glen's content (which is hilarious) doesn't disappear either...
Though Ryan wants to write something from scratch to work well with his photos - would Serendipity/Wordpress accept some sort of plugin to fill his needs? Serendipity seems to be compatible with the MT xml-rpc API (too many TLAs), so you try out ecto ( http://www.kung-foo.tv/ecto/ ). Its fantastic for desktop blogging.
I use it on Mac and Windows and bought a license when the 30 days was over. |
